The WiSentry - Wireless Access Point
Detection system install program can be used to manage several different
installation scenarios:
- The WiSentry Control Server can
be installed on a separate computer to act as the central repository
for the WiSentry system. This is the typical installation
for an enterprise network that contains more than one Agent.
- All components of the WiSentry
system are installed on one computer, useful for small networks.
- The WiSentry Administrator
Console can be installed to remotely view and control the WiSentry
system.
A
WiSentry AP Agent can be installed on one or more computers to watch one
or more broadcast LAN segments.

There must be at least one WiSentry AP
Agent present on each LAN segment or VLAN to be watched.
- Select Upgrade
to upgrade your existing WiSentry installation.
- Select New
Installation to install WiSentry on a new machine.
